Please reach us at rlafevers32@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Leadership Pipeline is designed for any brothers and sisters in Christ who desire to grow in their walk with Jesus, to get to know Him better, to make Him known to others and to bring greater glory to the Kingdom.
During the course of the semester you will learn how to better read, study and handle Biblical text and to share the beauty of God’s Word with others. Emphasis will be placed on how to enrich your prayer life and to gain confidence in leading others in prayer. You will discover God’s intentions for the role of the laity in the local church body and in our communities and families. You will get an in depth look at what leading a Gospel Centered life looks like and what is required of as Christians if we are to live as Jesus intends for us to live. Techniques for leading gospel centered conversations and small group discussions with believers and non-believers will be explored. And finally, discussions will take place on how we answer those in the world who have a world view that is not a Biblical world view. For a more in depth description, see the Leadership Pipeline Syllabus by going to the Students tab and then select Syllabus.
Saturday meetings will take place in the portable building located in the back parking lot of the Journey Bible Fellowship campus. In addition we will have one Saturday in which you will participate, with others, in a Neighborhood Prayer Walk.
Saturday meetings will take place from 8am to 10am. Typical meetings will consist of discussing the scripture assignment. (5-12 verses from the Book of Colossians) What can we learn from the text about God? about Jesus? and how does it apply to me? There will also be a discussion/teaching from a secondary reading assignment. And finally there will be designated time for journaling/meditation and small group prayer.
There will be a total of 14 Saturday meetings with the first meeting on August 28th and the last meeting on Dec 11th. Although it is important to attend the Saturday meetings, it is understood that conflicts do occur and occasionally meetings will be missed. It is important however, that even though a meeting is missed the assignments still need to be completed and submitted for that week.
Previously child care has not been provided. However, if the need arises, we will look into the possibility of providing child care.
It depends from week to week. Expect to spend 3-5 hours per week.
Assignments are provided electronically thru our website. Once assignments are completed you will submit them electronically through the website to your mentor.
There is no cost to you. All funding for the reading materials is generously provided by Leadership Pipeline Alumni. The only things you will need to provide will be your Bible, your phone (to install some key Apps that are free), your home computer and something to write with.
The plan is to ask for Leadership Pipeline alumni to volunteer to be a one on one mentor for each participant. If there are enough volunteers, then mentors will be provided. Their role will be to encourage, pray and provide feedback to their assigned mentee.
You will use your bible throughout the program and we will have a few other suggested readings and a few required readings that will be provided for you.
